age of 24. There are four sections to the award – volunteering, physical, learning a new skills and the
expedition. It will take a minium of six months to complete.
Aso she will be the accredited assessor for the Dofe in this area and is looking for volunteers to offer their skills in a variety of sports and activities for the minimum commitment of an hour a week. Also I am looking for the help in fund raising and organising a voluntary group to work in the community.
Free introductory Dofe training will be given and a free CRB check. Helpers and leaders can benefit greatly by volunteering. It will give experience in working with young people, working in a structured environment, improve self worth – knowing that your giving something back to society and a chance to move up the ladder and become a Dofe coordinator.
Plus becoming leader, helper or participant improves job prospects and looks great on a C.V.
